The Collection

Three formats. One feeling: home.

Every Buxena sauna begins in a European workshop — Nordic spruce and thermally modified wood, crafted by people who grew up with sauna culture. Each format is named for the experience it creates.

A sauna is not a purchase. It is a ritual you build into your life.

Made to Measure

Your space. Your measurements. Your ritual.

Most sauna companies sell you a box. We design around your life — the sloped ceiling, the narrow side yard, the exact bench length for lying flat. Then our own crew assembles it, so the first time you pour water on the stones, everything simply works.

01

It starts with an idea. Tell us your space, style, and budget — we reply within one business day.

02

Design & 3D view

We size the sauna to your measurements and show you a visual of your build — wood, glass, and heater — before anything goes to production.

03

Crafted in Europe

Your sauna is built in a Baltic or Finnish workshop and shipped to Connecticut. We tell you the real lead time up front.

04

Assembled by us

Our local crew delivers, assembles, and tests. You just heat it up.

05

Cared for, for years

A sauna is an investment in yourself. We stay with you — wood care guidance, heater service, and a real person to call.

The Craft

Born where sauna culture was born.

Estonia, Lithuania, Finland — lands where the sauna is not a luxury but a way of life, passed from grandparents to grandchildren. Our partner workshops use slow-grown Nordic spruce and thermowood, CNC precision and hand-finishing, timber sourced from surrounding forests. We import their craft; we add Connecticut service.

UL / ETL Heaters

Every electric heater we install is certified for the US market — Harvia and HUUM, the Finnish and Estonian standards.

Nothing to Off-Gas

Solid Nordic spruce and thermowood — no plywood, no glues, no chemical treatments. When a sauna reaches 190°F, what it's made of matters.

Delivery & Assembly

The part everyone else makes your problem.

Online sellers ship a two-ton crate to your curb and wish you luck. We don't. Buxena delivers locally, carries it to its place, assembles every board, connects with your electrician, and fires the first löyly with you. White-glove is not an upgrade here — it's the standard.

Local freight handled

We receive your sauna at our warehouse, inspect every panel, and schedule delivery when you're ready.

Site preparation guidance

Pad, electrical, and permit guidance for Connecticut towns — before anything arrives.

Assembly & first heat

Our crew builds it, tests it, and walks you through your first session.

Hot & Cold

Complete the ritual — pair your sauna with a cold plunge.

Contrast therapy — deep heat followed by cold immersion — is how the Nordics have practiced recovery for centuries. Order a sauna and plunge together and receive founding-client bundle pricing.

Questions

Before the first löyly.

How long does assembly take?

Our crew assembles most outdoor saunas in one day, indoor custom builds in two to three. Self-assembly kits typically take a capable homeowner one weekend — every kit ships with English manuals and our phone support.

What do I need before delivery?

Three things: a level base (concrete pad or compacted gravel), an electrical line sized for your heater, and — in some Connecticut towns — a simple permit. We provide exact specifications for all three at the design stage, and we can recommend local electricians we work with.

Which heater is right for my sauna?

Heater power follows sauna volume — roughly one kilowatt per 45 cubic feet. We calculate it for you during design so the heat is deep and even, never weak or scorching. Every electric heater we install is UL or ETL certified for the US market.

Where are Buxena saunas made?

In family workshops in Estonia, Lithuania, and Finland — from slow-grown Nordic spruce and thermally modified wood. We import directly, which is why our pricing beats domestic custom builders at the same quality level.

Do you install outside Connecticut?

Our own crew covers Connecticut and nearby areas of New York, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Beyond that, we ship self-assembly kits nationwide with full drawings and step-by-step instructions — and our install advisor stays available by phone to guide your local carpenter through every stage.

How long until my sauna arrives?

Honest numbers: European production typically takes 4–8 weeks depending on customization, plus 3–4 weeks of Atlantic shipping. In-stock models from our Connecticut warehouse deliver within days — and once we're running, we're never more than one container away from your sauna. We tell you the real timeline before you commit — never after.

Do you offer financing?

Monthly payment plans are coming with our online store launch. Early clients can ask about payment scheduling on custom orders — a deposit reserves your production slot, with the balance due at delivery.
